Single or Multiple Teeth
Dental implants are the most natural method of replacing one or more missing teeth. We are able to provide you with a wide range of tooth replacement options.
What Is a Dental Implant?
A dental implant is an artificial root form that is placed in the jawbone and provides the foundation for a missing tooth. It is much like a hip or knee replacement in that it is made primarily out of very biocompatible titanium and provides very normal function. It differs because, as opposed to a hip or knee implant replacement, which is cemented into bone spaces, a dental implant allows jawbone growth into the implant surface, providing a very strong platform for a missing tooth to be restored. Once the titanium implant is stabilized in bone, it is restored with an abutment and crown. The abutment acts as a connection between the implant and crown of the tooth. Each abutment is customized for the implant. Lastly, the crown is cemented or screwed into the abutment, completing the implant process.
